Can AX 2012 be upgraded directly to Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain?
Yes. Microsoft provides a supported upgrade path from AX 2012 R3 that includes code upgrade to extensions and data upgrade. Earlier versions such as AX 2009 typically use a data migration approach.
Is Dynamics AX still supported?
Dynamics AX 2009 and AX 2012 have reached the end of Microsoft extended support. Organizations still on AX should plan a move to Dynamics 365 to stay on a supported platform.
