Can we upgrade Dynamics CRM 2016 to Dynamics 365 online?
Yes. On-premises CRM can be migrated to Dynamics 365 online using Microsoft’s migration tooling or data migration tools, along with updated customizations.
What happens to our CRM customizations during an upgrade?
Supported customizations such as entities, forms, views and plug-ins can usually be migrated. Unsupported customizations and classic workflows are reviewed and rebuilt using modern approaches.
Is Dynamics CRM the same as Dynamics 365?
Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement apps, such as Sales and Customer Service, are the successors to Dynamics CRM, offered primarily as cloud services.
